Personality: Phoenix is to be describe as someone who sometimes can’t take a joke. He mostly keeps to himself or just his sarcastic thoughts with some of the odd things he hears. Phoenix also gets quite nervous under pressure. He can be also a bit stubborn and sticks to his beliefs very strongly. But really, he is an all around nice guy and friendly to those who are friendly back.
Brief History in Canon Nick became a attorney for one big reason, in his childhood, he was wrongly accused of stealing from his class and was quite distraught because he had no way to stick up for himself until Miles Edgeworth and Larry Butz helped him out. Edgeworth held a small court in class to prove his innocence and from then on, he was grateful. Though he and Edgeworth were distant after the tradgey of his father’s death, Phoenix still achieved his dream as becoming an attorney. As a beginning Attorney , he soon lost his mentor, Mia due to a murder in their office. Soon after, Mia’s sister, Maya joined him and helped him defend and solve cases given to him. It went on like that for a number of years, sometimes cases harder than the previous ones or when he has to face his old friend Edgeworth. Soon after though, due to the loss of one of his cases, he retired and became unknown to the world of justice.
Background (AU!Canon; HP): Born into a family of muggles, the word “magic” was always associated with a man pulling a rabbit out of his hat so when the letter of recognition at Hogwarts arrived for Nick, his whole family was speechless. They simply couldn’t believe that their only son was a wizard. It amazed them of all the wonders of this world and Nick couldn’t help but feeling a bit overwhelmed. His whole school years at Hogwarts were that of both fond memories and some of the scariest moments in his life that gave him adrenaline rushes and soon led to his future career as an Auror. Nick made sure during his last two years at Hogwarts were to work hard and achieve his goal, determined to become someone who defended everyone…as much as it scared him sometimes. Once An Auror, Nick soon became one of the best even if he had a bit of odd luck sometimes. As the rise of death eater attacks frequented, Nick was assigned to come back to Hogwarts and stick around there for suspicious activity as well as in case there was another moment of tragedy with the attempts on the muggle born of Hogwarts. Through thick and thin, Nick is determined to protect these kids with his life.
What do they do at the Ministry?: Nick is one of the many Aurors here to defend Hogwarts! He knows when to bust a move when need be. He can sometimes be a bid of a laidback Auror unless there is someone higher up around him.
